About:

Honest Energy is meant to be a no-BS guide to our energy storage and power generation challenges. It’s inspired by a frustration at the breakthrough-hype from clean tech media, and also a recognition of the difficulty in grasping our actual energy needs in a digestible manner. I hope to provide a more grounded perspective of what we’re facing and the opportunities we have, while also not being a total buzzkill (I’m still an optimist). This year-long project of deep dives is meant to be as educational for you as it is self-discovery for me. So let’s get nerdy.

Subscribe if you’re energized…

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new deep dive goes directly to your inbox. I plan to publish monthly(ish) and I promise not to spam.

About me:

I’m an Engineer and Optimist—stuck in a while loop of learning, ideating, and creating.

I’m also the co-founder and CTO of EnPower, a Li-ion battery startup developing the next-generation of fast-charging Li-ion cell technologies to enable electric mobility. We are based in Phoenix, AZ and we operate a pilot manufacturing facility to execute on our mission of building better batteries.

Note: The opinions I write in Honest Energy are my own and not representative of the opinions of EnPower.

Building is my passion, and my mission with Honest Energy is to identify what we must build next. Not knowing exactly what comes next is both exhilarating and refreshing. I hope to incubate a gut feeling by the end of this process, and I’d love to share my journey.
